The Garden Day Out

Check out the highlights of the Garden Day Out:

Cappoquin House & Garden
A five acre south facing garden looking over the Blackwater valley. The garden combines formal and informal planting within a context of mature trees, some of which are over 150 years old.

Tourin House and Garden
Among the gems in the gardens at Tourin are a walled garden, a fine collection of camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias and rare, mature trees including a Champion London Plane Tree. Lovely walks along garden and woodland paths lead to Tourin Quay and a pond with wild ducks and other wildlife.

Salterbridge House and Gardens
The grounds of Salterbridge, a Victorian country house, are filled with camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons and many other woodland shrubs.

Ballyin Garden
These gardens, just upstream from Lismore Castle, provide splendid views of the river Blackwater itself and the surrounding meadows. The gardens are full of secrets; The Bell Tower, Lady's Walk, the Killing Hatch and the Monterey Cypress, the widest tree in Co Waterford!

Dromana House
Home to the Villier-Stuarts and their ancestors for 800 years. Join a member of the family for a jaunt through 21 generations of facts, fables and even a family secret or two!

Cosy Meadows Plant Nursery
Cosy Meadows Plant Nursery is an Irish Specialist Nursery Association member which deals particularly in vibrant cottage garden perennials and prairie planting. This family run business provides good advice, an attentive ear and great value for money.
