2016 was a very busy year here in Lismore and 2017 promises to be just as exciting.
Here are some our 2016 highlights.


Lismore Immrama - Festival Of Travel Writing, keynote speaker Kim Phuc visiting Lismore.

Lismore Opera Festival- Star Soprano Sandra Oman starring in Cosi Fan Tutte

Lismore G.A.A Club - Intermediate Team still storming their way to an All Ireland title.

Towers and Tales - Axel Scheffler of "Gruffalo" and Alex T. Smith of "Claude" fame being some of their many talented speakers.

Camphire International Horse Trials & Festival having another bumper year.

Lismore Heritage Centre being involved in the fantastic Adopt a Monument Ireland scheme at the Round Hill. Much more to be done in 2017! Also our marvelous 25th anniversary celebrations in May crowed with the unveiling of the replica Lismore Crozier, now on permanent display in the Heritage Centre

The Robert Boyle Summer School another great success, drawing interantional names in Science and Lismore's Dr. Florence McCarthy being a very interesting speaker on his groundbreaking research.

Lismore Tidy Towns doing great work on the Ice Houses and as usual, getting many awards for their hard work!
