Off The Ground Theatre Presents
'Much Ado About Nothing' by William Shakespeare
7.30pm 10th August 2009 In Lismore Castle Courtyard
"We are the only love-gods"
In the warm sunshine of a glorious summer (well, we can hope) a pair of young lovers prepare for their wedding. To pass the time Hero and Claudio conspire with the prince, Don Pedro, to trick their friends into confessing their love for one another. As the temperature rises, the merry war of words between Beatrice and Benedick, a confirmed bachelor and maid, reaches new heights, as does Don John's jealousy as he plans to sabotage the wedding.
Come and Join Off The Ground for their fourteenth summer tour. Bring a picnic and some friends, enjoy the music and dancing and discover Shakespeare's greatest love story!
"It was another excellent show from Off the Ground, one which squeezed not only every comic moment form the play but which with style, turned the performance into an event."
(Twelfth Night) Philip Key, Daily Post
"without a doubt, one of the most fun things you can legally do in a field. The strength in depth of this cast was what really made the show stand out... I wouldn't have missed it for the world."
(Merry Wives of Windsor) Wirral Stages
"A very impressive company."
(Le True Histoire de Cyrano de Bergerac) Irish Times
