The Robert Boyle Science Room

Robert BoyleDeveloped in 2004 this new exhibition gallery is dedicated to the life and works of Robert Boyle ‘The Father of Modern Chemistry' who was born in Lismore Castle in 1627. Here the visitor can discover the importance of Boyle scientific discoveries through an animated film on his life and works. In it's initial year this film has been acclaimed by both student and adult.

Boyle's law examining the relationship between volume and pressure was considered to be one of the most important scientific discoveries of that time and is still studied by students of science throughout the world.

Educational packages for both primary and Secondary Students with scientific content have been put together. Students have the opportunity of studying science and participating in experiments here. Please contact 058-54975 for further details.
