Robert Boyle Summer School

Robert BoyleRobert Boyle (1627 – 1691) was born in Lismore Castle and was one of the most influential scientists of his time. He was also deeply religious and wrote extensively on philosophy and theology.

This year’s Summer School will explore the relationship between science & religion with respect to Boyle and the interaction since. We also have leading scientists talking about progress in health sciences and cosmology.

Lismore Mobile Scientists at West Waterford Festival of Food - April 2015

Lismore Heritage Centre’s Mobile Science Team is adding some snap, crackle and pop (not to mention some whizz, fizz and bang!) to this year’s West Waterford Festival of Food.

On Saturday 11 April our mobile scientists invite budding Einsteins to join them in St Joseph’s Primary School, Dungarvan for a morning of food-inspired science fun.
