S.T.E.M. Quiz

IMAG1826

As a Discover Primary Science and Maths Centre, Lismore Heritage Centre has 20 years of experience in the Education Sector.

Our new S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Trail includes 10 stations of different topics. Children are given a questionnaire to fill in as they visit each station and there are questions at each station to keep them scratching their heads and hopefully engaging more at home and school with each topic.

When the S.T.E.M. quiz is completed, they receive a prize, and the best part of all is it is completely free.

The S.T.E.M. quiz takes around half an hour to complete and we suggest parents browse our shop, take in a coffee in the Courthouse Cafe or view our prize winning audio visual while they wait for their little Einstein’s to complete the course.

Easter Workshops

Our Easter Workshops were a great success with the first on Tuesday the 11th April. We held a morning and afternoon of Superhero Science, where we uncovered the secrets of our favourite Superhero’s superpowers. From the Incredible Hulk to The Flash, we experimented with lightning bolts, static electricity and even had time for Radioactive Ring toss. We would like to thank all of our attendees and their parents for a great day.Horribale History

On Thursday the 13th, we moved our workshop outdoors to the beautiful Towers for horrible History. We made magic potions, made Viking long ships for our egg sailors and held a Norman siege. We got a little but muddy but it was all in the name of having a great time!

If you would like information on our upcoming workshops, please watch this newspaper, or like us on Facebook where details are posted on a regular basis. Thanks again to all of our attendees, we had a ball!

Tuesday was the day for creating our own super hero city, with the fun of bean bag attack & kryptonite disposer race. Luckily the sun was shining and we completed our first day at the beautiful Millennium Park with an obstacle course.
